TREASURY REPORT
Barb Fisher presented bank statements for Marmora Cup for Jan., Feb., Mar., April, 2007.
MOTION by Barb Fisher, seconded by Linda Roy
that the Treasury verbal report be accepted Carried
Vera Wylie has sent out all thank youı notes.
It was agreed letters requesting donations need to go out now.
State of the Union of Snofest Report was prepared and read by the Chair.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
RACES - Brian Galloway said some rule changes will be coming for 2008.
The possibility of a loop circuit is being considered for Skijoring.
It must be emphasized that helmets are necessary for all racers including Little Mushers.
TRAILS - Bob Drummond advised he plans on working on the Trails one more year.
ADVERTISING - The Snofest ad only went in the local Shieldı papers. CHEX ads were not aired enough. The committee needs to get their schedule before the event.
FUND RAISING - Vera Wylie reported: € tickets need to get out earlier € Sponsor letters need to be sent earlier € a 3rd prize is needed for the draw € Silent Auction had too many items.
Discussion was held on holding a Summer Snofest Drawı. An effort will be made to get baseball or hockey tickets for a draw.
BUTTONS - Stu reported 1300 were sold.
ARTS & CRAFTS -
Discussion was held on procuring more signs, especially permanent large signs at Hwy 7 corners for the various Snofest events.
MOTION by Barb Fisher, seconded by Sue Korver
that the Municipality be approached re permission for signs along the highway, that size of signs allowed be obtained for the highway corners and large signs with place & times placed at the fairgrounds. This will be
discussed at next Snofest meeting. Carried
A search will be made for the 2007 signs.
It was agreed to invite Debbie Deline to join the Snofest Committee.
WEIGHT PULL - Jerry Roy said it was very successful. Moving the activity to a different spot at the fairgrounds has been decided to avoid the snow blowing off the roof.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL - Richard advised more people are needed to distribute the material and need to receive it in time to get it around to the different businesses earlier.
CHILDRENıS EVENTS - It was noted there was a small turnout for the Free Movie ³8 Below² at Marmora Senior School.
Gail Taylor advised the new program was successful in the three schools with lots of entries and a variety. The Peterborough Canadian Authorsı Association were impressed with the entries. They will be invited to return next year.
BANQUET - June Vilneff was complimented on the attractive table arrangements.
She suggested perhaps the childrenıs film on Snofest could be used at the 2008 banquet.
WEB SITE - It was agreed it needs to be reviewed.
CHILI CONTEST -
MOTION by Vera Wylie, seconded by Linda Roy
that the 2008 Chili Contest be cancelled. Carried
SNOFEST 30TH ANNIVERSARY
June Vilneff advised she has someone who will organize a 2008 Snofest
Ambassadors Contest before Snofest (possibly a male and a female, ages from
14 to 17). The winners could participate in the 2008 Canada Day and Santa
Parades.
OTHER
The Flea Market/Car Show will take place 3rd weekend of June.
Roseanne Ellis has indicated she will work on the 2008 Registration.
2008 Snofest Weekend is February 1, 2, 3
ADVENTURE RACE - A new organizer is needed as Anne Philpot will not be
available for the 2008 event.
REGISTRATION ROOM - Stu Fisher, Brian Galloway and Bob Drummond will bring
information on availability to next meeting.
Barb Fisher advised that food will not be available at the LıAmable
stopover in 2008.
Al Moorcroft has advised he will be in LıAmable for the 2008 races.
