Marmora Sno-Fest Meeting

Present: Richard Lowery, Chair, Wilma Bush, Secretary, Barb Fisher, Treasurer, Stew Fisher, Robert Young, June Vilneff, Bonnie Danes, Brian Galloway, David Marett, Brian Tipping and Sue Korver.

Also present - Dayle Gorsline and new member Ashley Murrell.

Chair welcomed those present to meeting.

MOTION By June Vilneff, seconded by Barbara Fisher

That Minutes of February 25, 2005 meeting are approved.

TREASURY REPORT by Barbara Fisher:

General accounts - Marmora Cup - amount was given.

Investment Account - GIC - no amount given.

Adventure Race - same as previous.

NEW BUSINESS

VIDEOS of Sno-Fest 2005 were shown by Dayle Gorsline.

PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL - Robert Young advised some merchants would like to keep the material for sale a while longer. It was suggested the material be made available earlier this winter.

FLEA MARKET - Stew Fisher advised the Municipality and Agricultural Society should be advised of the plans to hold this event June 18 and 19. A yard sale will also be included. Twelve door prizes are needed. Robert Young provided posters to be distributed.

That two trophies be purchased for the Flea Market.

MARMORA KENNEL CLUB - Richard Lowery reported he attended with David Marett and Robert Young. He stressed it is important to inform people why the Sno-Fest and Kennel Club are working together and read from a report he gave at the meeting.

ADVENTURE RACE - Brian Tipping reported he had met with Anne Philpot and the Race will be held September 10.

WEB SITE -

That Sno-Fest pay $106 for the software license for the site.

That Dayle Gorsline receive information from Sno-Fest meetings and put this information on the web site.

Barbara Fisher received assurance that tables would be available for the Flea Market.

June Vilneff advised she had mailed the plaque to Amber and she had sent a condolence card to Bernie Donaldson whose brother died recently.

SNO-FEST PHOTOS - were shown by Ashley Murrell. A committee consisting of Richard Lowery, Stew Fisher, Robert Young and Brian Tipping will pick a picture suitable for the 2006 Button.

Brian Tipping suggested the photos could be shown at the 2006 Sno-Fest Banquet and copies could be on sale. Some could be used in publicity, such as brochures.

That Ashley Murrell is hired as photographer for the 2006 Sno-Fest.

That Anja Atchison be allowed to clean up the Sno-Fest board at the Marmora Tourist Information Building.
