Vilneff, Linda Roy, Jerry Roy, Bob Drummond, Bonnie Danes, Sue Warburton and
Guests Martin Saunders, Sue Cosbey and Martha Edwards.

that minutes of January 7, 2008 meeting be accepted as circulated.

TREASURY - No report
CORRESPONDENCE . Vera Wylie reported she has sent out all thank you notes
to date for
donations received.
. June Vilneff said she now has Len Heath on list of people to receive
appreciation.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
SPONSORS/DONATORS
- Vera Wylie said she has 25 Silent Auction items - there are more to come
and she is limiting it to
50. She also advised many of the Sponsors would like to see more events
than just the dog races
taking place Snofest Weekend.
- It was announced the Marmora Legion Br. #237 has not sponsored the Little
Nippers Race for a
few years. They have been sponsoring with second place trophy for Long
Distance Race with
their donation.
- June Vilneff said she obtained tickets for the Marmora Jamboree from Boyd
Warren.
- The dog food is again available from Tweed - Bob Drummond said it would be
picked up.
- Gail Taylor said a definite decision should be made regarding which are
Sponsors and which
are Donators. A committee will meet after this meeting to make that
decision.
BANQUET -
* 45 tickets have been sold to date
* Norm Bradley has confirmed he has the veterinarians and needs two banquet
tickets for them.
REGISTRATION - June Vilneff said Joan Kennedy will begin work at 7:30 a.m.
Saturday
Martha Edwards offered to work with her.
ENVIRONMENT - Bonnie Danes has the times filled.
SIGNS -
Bonnie Danes said the ones for special events (Arts & Crafts, Environment)
have been
ordered from Socan.

ARTS & CRAFTS - Barbara Fisher has sent out the invitations and registration
forms.
GATES - Wilma Bush advised she had 11 volunteers from the Lions Club and 11
other
volunteers (only two from the Snofest Committee) - she still needs
more.
ADVERTISING - Norm Bradley has circulated a video to committee members from
CHEX TV
which will run within the news hour.
Sue Korver has forwarded information to Hastings Cable, Madoc.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL - Gail Taylor advised the toques are not available this
year. Robert Young agreed to look for burgundy sweat shirts. It was
felt it is too late to order for
this year.
LUMBERJACK EVENT - Linda Roy announced it would not take place this year.
CHILDREN'S EVENTS - Gail Taylor has created a sub-committee with Sue
Warburton and Sue Korver.
Gail said the Literary Competition is all settled with Marmora Senior and
Sacred Heart
Schools participating. Earl Prentice School is not participating
this year.
Sue Warburton spoke on plans for a variety of children's events using the
derby pit or corral. She will meet with Stew Fisher to make a decision.
Bonnie Danes suggested giving pages of Children's Events to school classes.
Sue Warburton spoke on obtaining snowshoes from the Frink Centre.
June Vilneff said Bernie Donaldson told her the skating competition will be
co-ordinated with ordinary school skating rather than holding a
separate skate-a-thon.
TRAILS - Bob Drummond suggested a decision re holding the races be made
January 28, with
final decision by noon on the 30th. Bob will meet with
Brian Galloway and Sue Korver on the 28th to made a decision.
SHUTTLE SERVICE - Barbara Fisher has booked Ed Shannon with tractor and
wagon at same
price for Saturday, February 2, beginning at 10 a.m.
RACES - Brian Galloway said he is still waiting for changes to the website.
There will be approximately 30 Little Nippers.
John Green will help with the timing with Kyle Gagnon willing to
help.
POSTERS/PAMPHLETS - Gail Taylor said all the businesses have them.
ACCOMMODATIONS - Martin Saunders said he is not running a bed and breakfast
but could accommodate some.
OTHER - Gail Taylor spoke on a number of items Hogan Courrier could supply
to Snofest at cost.
No decision was made. May be considered for another year.
