Motion by Vera Wylie, seconded by Linda Roy
that minutes of January 14, 2008 meeting be accepted as circulated.

TREASURY - Barbara Fisher reported $ in Marmora Cup
COMMITTEE REPORTS
• Sponsors/Donators - Vera Wylie said Legion requests a letter saying where their donation will be spent. The Secretary is to write the letter to be signed by the Chair.
Draw Tickets for Sunday draw at Awards Ceremony must be handed in Friday at the banquet. Vera was congratulated for selling 45 books to date.
Vera said it would have been a good idea to have Buttons to sell when she was selling tickets.
Dog food cannot be supplied by the same source this year.
• Committee to decide difference between Sponsors & Donaters - not decided yet. June Vilneff and Sue Korver will check list.
• Banquet - June Vilneff reported 130 tickets sold to date -usually there would have been 170 sold. Entertainment will begin at 7:30 at banquet.
The Committee agreed to allow Stedmans staff to hand out flyers at the gates.
• Environmental - Bonnie Danes handed out a flyer which will be distributed.
She would like gifts such as pens or mugs for the Environmental speakers.
• Arts & Crafts - Barbara Fisher will contact those who have not responded as she has spaces left.
• Buttons Report - Stew Fisher said they are selling.
• Aprons - Bob Drummond will supply new ones with BMR on them. Eight are needed by Treasurer.
• Gates - Wilma Bush - all spaces filled. (report provided)
• Advertising - Committee approved of reports on CHEX, Campbellford and CJBQ. Sue to Call Norm Bradley re meeting.
• Promotional Material - Gail Taylor - Burgundy sweatshirts are not
available. People are needed to man booth at fairgrounds,
• Literacy Competition - Gail to take Pens for Literacy Competition for
prizes, and will charge back at cost to Canadian Authors with the money they
supply us with.
- Mugs will be given to mushers
• Children's Events - Sue Warburton has sent flyers to the schools. The
snow shoeing will be 11 - 2 p.m.
Sacred Heart School have their own snow shoes if the Snofest Committee
needs them in the future.
• Trails - Bob Drummond said they are fair to good, groomed on Saturday last
week and again on Friday.
MOTION by Brian Galloway, seconded by Bonnie Danes to reimburse Bob Drummond
for money he paid the snow plower, and provide banquet tickets reimbursement
to Bob Drummond, with June Vilneff looking after this. Carried
• Committee agreed with Prince Edward Masonic selling tickets on their
4-wheeler at the fairgrounds (raising money for Sick Kids).
Shane Cox had a litter of pups and for the Eldorado race he donated two
pups for the Little Nippers with the parents’ agreement for the children’s
names to go into the draw for the pups.
MOTION - by Brian Galloway, seconded by Richard Lowery
that the Committee accept the offer from Shane Cox to have a draw for 2
puppies for Little Nippers Carried.
June agreed to include Shane on her list of ‘appreciations’.
• Signs - Bonnie Danes is to pick these up from Bob Drummond.
• 2008 Races - Brian Galloway will supply list of Volunteers to John
Solmes and he can direct them to their location of the work they are doing
on the weekend.
• Weight Pull - Jerry Roy is putting sides on sled.
• Skijoring - no charge for entry fees this year - will consider for next
year.
Vera was asked to contact Jonny Roofer re their purse money.
• Hydro is needed for Roll Over Machine for OPP - Curtis Trimble will be
contacted. There needs to be a plowed area.
