that minutes of December 10, 2007 meeting be accepted as circulated. Carried
TREASURY - Barbara Fisher reported a balance of $ in the Marmora Cup account

that the Treasurer’s report is approved.
CORRESPONDENCE • The Secretary said she had sent a letter to the Municipality of Marmora
and Lake requesting the installation of the Snofest banners.
• She read a letter from P.C. Richard Lowery expressing regrets for his absence and information
on his wife following her surgery.
• She circulated a ‘Get Well’ card for signatures, to be sent to Alexan dra, Richard’s wife.
• She provided the banquet tickets form and cardboard to the Municipal office for photocopying,
as well as the two forms Barbara Fisher needs to have photocopied for the Arts and Crafts
event.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
SPONSORS/DONATORS
-Vera Wylie reported over 300 tickets have been sold at ValuMart.
- June Vilneff agreed to sell tickets at the arena
- Vera has been collecting for the Silent Auction. A lot have donated money which will be used
to purchase items for the Auction.
- Stew Fisher advised Marmora Crowe Valley Lion Jamboree tickets will be donate. Boyd
Warren will also be contacted by June Vilneff for Marmora Jamboree tickets. She will also
contact McKeown's.
- Vera will pick cheese from Empire Cheese. She will also look after donators previously looked
after by Jennie Killian.
- Cindy Redding suggested contacting Madoc Cadets for work at Snofest, including the Gates.
BANQUET-
* June Vilneff said some tickets have already been sold - she hopes to pick them up Tuesday at
the Municipal office.
* Her daughter, Patsy, will again be doing the program for the banquet.
REGISTRATION - June says she already has three workers
ENVIRONMENT - Bonnie Danes advised the Saturday town hall event will consist of speakers, three in the morning and three in the afternoon at approximately 45 minutes each, including a possible video on Deloro.
The bus tours have been cancelled this year.
SIGNS -

that a committee consisting of Bonnie Danes, Bob Drummond and Barbara Fisher
meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Legion parking lot to make decisions. Carried
It was felt getting an Events sign might be a bit late for 2008.
It also might be too late to get a proper sign for the trailer keeping results updated.
BUTTONS
- Stew Fisher said 247 Early Birds were sold.
When Brian Galloway expressed dismay that again the Quinte West region was not receiving any of the Snofest information, Cindy Redding responded with the information an advertiser must specify exactly where they want their ad(s) to run. She explained the difference in the separate editions.
Stew also advised a new Marmora resident, Martha Edwards, would like to become involved in Snofest.
ARTS & CRAFTS - Barbara Fisher will be sending out the invitations and registration forms now.
ADVERTISING - Sue Korver read the quotes provided by Norm Bradley from CHEX TV &nbs p; (Janice Copeland) and Quinte Broadcasting (John Brannen).
Sue will contact Cable 4. Terry Pigden will be contacted re Madoc Cable - he will be
provided with a video to run on the cable station.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL - Gail Taylor advised the toques with strings have been ordered. She will also order one dozen burgundy sweatshirts from Robert Young.
LUMBERJACK EVENT - Robert Young is not sure yet if he will run it, so it is not included on the
sche dule. Gail Taylor will contact him again.
DJ TRAILERS - John Solmes offered to contact re availability.
CHILDREN’S EVENTS - Gail Taylor has the Peterborough Authors booked.
January 31 is booked 1-4 at Marmora arena.
Re Skateathon - Bernie Donaldson has not been answering her e-mails. June Vilneff
offered to contact her.
COMMUNITY CARE BREAKFASTS - Vera Wylie announced the Saturday breakfast will be
7 - 11 - pancakes and sausages. Sunday will be 8 - 12, buffet breakfast.
TRAILS - Bob Drummond reported they have been brushed and are ready to mark.

RACES - Brian Galloway:
Motion by June Vilneff, seconded by Bob Drummond
that 11th place racers and back will receive their entry fee back in all races. Carried
Brian Galloway reported the race changes and provided each committee member with a list of race and meeting times.
He said the Race Committee had agreed that all mushers must wear reflector vests from dusk - dawn.

that $ US be spent on bands to use on the dogs’ necks for marking instead of paint.
VETERINARIANS - At the September 10th meeting Norm Bradley offered to look after them.
WEIGHT PULL - Jerry Roy said he is providing sides for the weight pull sleds.
SHUTTLE SERVICE - Barbara Fi sher agreed to call Ed Shannon.
FIREWOOD - Bob Drummond will provide.
POSTERS/PAMPHLETS - Gail Taylor said the card stock is provided to Geeks Galore. She will be finishing typing up the changes tonight and providing to Hogan Courriere tonight - he is printing the pamphlets and flyers free.
Committee members felt the William Shannon Memorial Room’s temperature is much more comfortable.
