BUSINESS FROM MINUTES
Sponsors/Donators: Vera Wylie circulated a copy of the letter she and Richard Lowery prepared. They will be sent out after July 3rd after Vera¹s phone # and mailing address are added.
Signs - No word back yet.
Web Site - There have been no results yet. Sue Korver will connect with host operating the site. 2007 Race Results are not yet posted.
Flea Market/Car Show - Robert Young reported tables are six foot, $10 cost to vendor. Event will just take place on Saturday, June 16. There are three different categories for the car show. Robert has four plaques and door
prizes. Bonnie Danes has arranged to have students available to assist.
Adventure Race - Gail Taylor reported Bill McCoy will look after the Race and will be working with Anne Philpot.
Registration Room Booking - Brian Galloway will look into the matter this Saturday.
TREASURY REPORT - 0
€ Gail Taylor reported - the Snofest ad for the Fall Fair booklet has been looked after - Snofest can have a booth at the Fair at no cost.
€ Richard Lowery reported no word has been received from the Bank regarding fees charged to Snofest.
CORRESPONDENCE - Sue Korver¹s May 16 letter to the local Municipality re posting signs in Marmora Village has not yet received a reply.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Races - Brian Galloway said the purse amount has yet to be decided. Jonny Roofer will be approached about sponsoring Skijorring.
Buttons - June Vilneff has original Snofest Button - passed around a sample of what will be ordered for the 2008 button.
MOTION by Gail Taylor, seconded by Richard Lowery
that Design #1 be chosen for the 2008 Snofest Button, which will be proofed at July meeting after one button has been made before rest are printed. Copy of 1978 button will be transferred to centre of present size button with Œ30th Anniversary¹ over top and ŒFebruary 1, 2, 3, 2008¹ at
bottom Carried
Promotional Material Robert Young is looking into having Coins cast. A
minimum of 100 are to be ordered. It was agreed the coin should just say ŒSince 1978¹ rather than having Œ2008¹ printed on it. Decision will be made at July meeting.
Banquet - Entertainment was discussed. June Vilneff and Richard Lowery
agreed to look into possibility of musical entertainment.
It was also recommended a different meat than roast beef might be served. June will check with caterer as to possibilities.
NEXT MEETING - July 9, 2007, 7:00 p.m. (not certain if it will be in William Shannon Memorial Room or Marmora Town Hall)
