That Minutes of June 13, 2005 meeting be accepted

Business From Minutes
- June Vilneff said the Long Distance trophy has been found but not the 6-mile trophies.
- Approval for Jordan's picture on the 2006 Snofest Button has been received from his mother.
- Community Futures - balance has not been received - CHEX TV invoices are needed.
- Trillium Grant - word might be received in November
- Flea Market - Robert Young did not have a final figure.
- Adventure Race - 15 teams participated. The final report and funds have not yet been handed
in by Anne Philpot.
TREASURER'S REPORT -
Given by Wilma Bush in absence of Barbara Fisher.
COMMITTEES
. Races
Brian Galloway will meet with Race Committee to decide number of type of races for 2006.
Decision will be made as to (1) advantage of having ham radio users participate,
(2) two race marshalls? (3) photo release part of registration? (4) race results in French (5) rules to be
posted on web site as well as official protest form (6) race schedule - two chutes?
It was agreed all Committee members should have copy of By-Laws.

That cost of Snofest Buttons will remain at $4.00

Recommendation - That Race Committee be aware of importance of co-ordinating participation
parts of race with particular sponsorship.

That an order be submitted for (a) four dozen each of two sled dogs (b) 200 lapel pins and (c)
two dozen each of the two caps chosen. Carried

That price of remaining mugs be reduced to $5.00

On recommendation of Robert Young it was agreed the Snofest Committee would keep one item
of each purchase for its own display purposes.
. Lumber Jack Event
Robert Young led a discussion of getting a plaque with sections for men and women, adults,
teens and tykes. He recommended adding an 'Open Buck' event.
MOTION - By Brian Galloway, seconded by Doug Mitchell
That the Snofest Committee recognize the Lumberjack Event as an integral part of Snofest
activities and that it be recognized as such in budget. Carried
. Banquet
The Secretary will send an invitational letter to Jeff Hutchinson to be guest speaker at the 2006
Banquet.
NEW BUSINESS
- Ashley Murrell will be booked as 2006 photographer
- History Display has been upgraded - Bob Drummond is to provide a display case.
- Santa Claus Parade

That Ralph McKee has permission to drive a four-wheeler in the parade to draw the Snofest
Float. Carried

Discussion was held on upgrading present sign and having one at each highway entrance to
Marmora Village.
OTHER
June Vilneff reported:
- United Church Luncheon will be $7.00
- Diane Ray has offered to have the Re/Max balloon hanging over the fairgrounds
- Woodcarving by a gentleman who uses a chainsaw will be looked into (display of him
working - a first prize?)
- Four clocks are needed.
- George Osborne will donate $100 at next Snofest meeting.
Brian Galloway received committee approval if he can arrange to have a Radar Cart event with
snowballs available for children.
It was agreed there would be no yard sale this Fall.
